Microsoft Authenticator for Two-Step Authentication (MFA) Installation Guide
Multi-factor authentication is now required to access Office 365 online applications.
When you sign in to your account, you will be prompted to provide an additional security information. Click Next
Step 1: Download the Microsoft Authenticator App
Scan the QR Code to download the Microsoft Authenticator App.

ON YOUR COMPUTER: Choose Next ONLY if you have already downloaded the app.
NOTE: If you have not downloaded the app, STOP, and download it from the app store before proceeding.
ON YOUR COMPUTER: STOP here. Do NOT select Next yet. You will need to use your mobile device for the next steps.
STEP 2: Scan the QR Code
ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE:
Open the Microsoft Authenticator app. Click the (+) in the upper right corner.
Choose WORK OR SCHOOL ACCOUNT
Choose SCAN QR CODE
ON YOUR COMPUTER:
Click Next and a QR will display, scan the QR Code.
STEP 3: Approve the Microsoft Authenticator Login Request
ON YOUR COMPUTER:
A code will appear on the screen
ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE:
Simultaneously, in the Microsoft Authenticator app, input the code from your computer and click Yes.
STEP 4: Congratulations, Setup is Complete!
ON YOUR COMPUTER:
Your computer will display the message that the notification has been approved.
ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE:
Your phone will display Tarlac State University and your email.
